Anyone in government with a Chevron oil tanker named after her is open to scrutiny as far as I’m concerned. Mainly, it’s just that she’s such a true Bushie — cut from the same cloth, if you will. Always on task, Condoleezza rice is forevermore ready with the administration’s pat answer. See “smoking gun” and “mushroom cloud” analogies by Rice on CNN, Bush at the UN and Cheney on Meet the Press.

Mr. Rumsfeld has assets between $61 million and $242.5 million. His financial report is 78 pages long. He acquired his wealth from a number of corporate relationships with the likes of Searle Pharmaceuticals, the Kellogg Company, Amylin Pharmaceutical and
BP-Amoco. He is accused of a flawed plan
for the War in Iraq, specifically related to
troop strength and allocation of resources.

GW Bush is a privileged son. He escaped the normal fate of those caught for a host of heinous offenses — least of all lying to the US and the world about the reasons we should all go to war. Included in those lies is the idea that Iraqi oil would pay for the war.

“You went to jail in the summer. It is fall now... Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them. Come back to work — and life...”
- to jailed journalist Judith Miller

On October 28, 2005, Libby resigned from his position in the White House amid criminal felony charges pertaining to the leaked identity of CIA operative, Valerie Plame.

Dick Cheney was the Chairman and CEO of Halliburton Energy Services. Most of his $30 million to $100 million comes from Halliburton — he’s still getting paid. Halliburton is a big beneficiary of the War in Iraq through huge, no-bid contracts. Mr. Cheney has been caught in lies in public regarding the selling of war in Iraq. His personal favorability ratings consistently hover around 18%. And he really <ahem> said that on the floor of the Senate.

Gale Norton worked at a law firm funded by Amoco, Chevron, Exxon, Ford and Phillips 66 before becoming Secretary of the Interior for GW Bush. She is a champion of “free-market” environmental policies — yes, it’s as bad as it sounds. She has been in favor of ANWR drilling and has challenged the Endangered Species Act among other basic environmental laws.

Alberto Gonzalez had Enron connections. Unfortunately, those aren’t the only connections he’s known for. Ol’ Alberto’s known for once referring to spying on Americans without warrants as a “hypothetical situation.” He’s also known for testifying before Congress at a later date to his knowledge of the US domestic spying program while performing as White House Counsel.

Michael Chertoff waited 36 hours after landfall to declare Katrina an incident of national significance, even though it was obvious to others. LA Governor Kathleen Blanco declared a state of emergency 2 days before landfall. Chertoff called the situation at the infamous New Orleans Convention Center “rumors” at one point. It had been on the news all day.

Thomas Dale Delay. Where to start? Well, there’s so much to tell. Currently, Mr. Delay has resigned from Congress amid a storm of criminal indictments and controversies. He was known as the “Hammer” for his enforcement of party discipline on close party votes and swift retribution for opponents. He was integral in Clinton’s impeachment hearings. He coordinated efforts to redistrict congressional districts in Texas to favor Republicans. His criminal charges relate to conspiring to violate campaign finance laws. And that’s just the beginning.
